OUR SERVICES
Located in Southwest Washington, Studio JLR provides affordable visualization services to both builder and designer in an effort to present a comprehensive view of a project. We do not outsource our work, as we believe in working with the community and building personal relationships with our clients.
There are a few 3D Visualization options to choose from. These include Interior and Exterior Renderings, 3D Floor Plans and Architectural Animations.

WHAT CAN AFFECT RENDERING COSTS
Completion Time
-
Visualization studios typically charge based upon an hourly rate. The longer a project takes, the more expensive it will be.
-
Any additional edits can quickly increase the project cost by adding additional hours of work.
-
If a fast turn-around is urgently needed, additional "after-work" hours may be neccesary to meet such a sort deadline. This can increase rendering costs as a result.
-
The project cost is also affected by the number of iterations done. Each iteration adds additional time to the project, which in turn adds cost. This is why it is so important for the client to provide clear and detailed feedback with each iteration.
Project Complexity
The following project types are listed in order of what is typically the least complex to the most complex.
-
Interior Renders, Exterior Renders, Animations
Model Scale
-
Smaller structures are typically easier to capture through 3D viualization. A small, basic ADU will typically cost less than a large single-family residence.
-
Architectural style can also affect the scale of the model. A classical, detail orientated structure will be far more complex than a minimalistic one. The greater detail the project model has, the greater the complexity of the project.
Level Of Detail
The following objects can affect the detail and complexity of a project.
-
Material variety and material textures
-
Project lighting and atmosphere
-
The depicted season (Summer and Spring seasons are considered standard seasons for rendering while Autumn and Winter are considered non-standard as they require a higher level of preperation and skill)
Number Of Views
-
The total project cost is dependant on the total number of images ordered.
-
The ideal number of images varies between projects. A small, simpled project may only need 1-2 images while a larger, complex structure may need more to give a comprehensive overview of the project.
Amount Of Initial Data Provided
Since our 3D visualization projects costs are based on anticipated time and number of iterations, it is important for the client to prepare as much information as possible prior to contracting our services.
Relevant information may include.
-
Architectural drawings (floorplans, elevations, sections, etc)
-
Sketches or drafts of envisioned 3D rendering
-
Mood boards
-
References to desired architectural style and other relevant information
-
Texture list and samples
-
Prepared 3D models
If you do not have any pre-made models (or the items you are wishing to include have to be constructed from scratch) the project cost could increase. Typically, the more custom items a project includes, the greater the cost for visualization will be.
There may be cases where the quality of the provided model is inadequate or too low to be properly used. If optimization or remodeling is required to complete a project, the longer the turn-around time will be, increasing the overall costs.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
VISUALIZATION LEVELS
Low Complexity
Interior Rendering
-
Covers rooms with a low amount of items or detail such as bathrooms and corridors
Exterior Rendering
-
Simple, focused and zoomed in building facades
Medium Compexity
Interior Rendering
-
Rooms with a greater amount of detail such as kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms
Exterior Rendering
Single family residences, small commercial buildings
High Compexity
Interior Rendering
-
Complex spaces such a large lobbies or certain public spaces
Exterior Rendering
-
Complex aerial views with a high level of surrounding detail such as vegetation, infastructure, etc
-
Large residential or commercial complexes such as a large business or apartment complex.
-
Neighborhoods, skyscrapers, large public parks, etc.
PRICE RANGE
While the final cost can vary from project to project, our typical 3D visualization charges fall within the below ranges.
EXTERIOR RENDERING (Single Family Home)
INTERIOR RENDERING
3D FLOOR PLANS (Single Family Home)
ARCHITECTURAL ANIMATION
$450-$950 per image
$400-$800 per image
$450-$850 per image
$5,000-$9,000 per minute
It is worth noting that additional cost may be added to the project fees if insufficient data is provided resulting in multiple iterations to be done or for us to construct the project model ourselves.
An accelerated delivery fee will be added for quick project turn around.
If your project is not a single family residence or does not fall within one of the categories above, reach out to us and we can give you a quote on your project.
*Due to high costs, architectural animation is not recommended for small or medium homes.

OUR PROCESS
1
PROJECT PREP
Once you reach out to us, we can begin discussing how we can help your project thrive.
Together, we can determine which spaces you most wish to showcase, whether a unique room or the entire facade.
Once we have determined the complexity of your project and the amount of images you wish to order, we will send you a project overview with the anticipated costs, have you sign a contract and submit a 15% deposit.
We will also begin the process of gathering information that is relevant for the project completion. This includes architectural drawings, 3D models, mood boards and other information.
2
INIITIAL DESIGN PROCESS
Once we understand your needs, have the initial project overview completed, and any relevant information aquired, we can begin working on your project.
If sufficient information was not provided to move directly into rendering (i.e. no 3D model) we can begin the process of translating 2D plans into a 3D plane.
It is worth noting, any additional modeling will bring further costs to the project. This will be reflected in an updated project overview.
Once we are able to proceed, we will begin the rendering process.
3
PROCESS MEETING
Once we have completed the initial 3D rendering process we will reach back out to you with a progress report.
Here, we will show you the initial drafts from your project. These images are typically rendered at a small scale and include larger detail items such as structure form, materials, basic lighting, etc.
Through your review, you can provide us with your feedback. Depending on your satisfaction we can either proceed with the determined design path or make desired iterations to your project.
Since we want you to be happy with the final product, the first two iterations will carry no cost.
4
FINAL RENDERS
Once we have completed any desired iterations, we can begin rendering the final product.
Here we add in the remaining fine detail items, such as small decorative items or fine surface modifications.
If a fly-through video is done, much of our animation will be done in this phase.
We will also reach out to determine the desired photo quality.
Please note. Since the images produced in this phase are of a greater quality that our initial drafts, they will require additional process time.
5
PROJECT CLOSING
After we have completed the final renderings we will send you the final cost sheet. This will include the agreed base price from step 1, as well as additional fees based upon modeling charges or additional iterations.
Once we have received your payment we will send you the final images and/or video.
Thank you so much for choosing Studio JLR to lead your visualization project.
NOTE: Project times depend on the number of requested photos, project complexity, number of iterations, and project volume
